In a 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani, Obama said of his mother, Ann Dunham Soetoro, that she “had as much influence on my values as anybody.” Obama’s maternal half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, told Newsweek in 2008 that one of their mother’s favorite spiritual influences was the work of Joseph Campbell. Barack Obama grew up with the “values” of Joseph Campbell.
Joseph Campbell (1904 – 1987), an American author, editor, and teacher known primarily for his writings on “myths,” was a Christ-mocking Israel hater. Campbell’s antipathy to God and Christ is what unifies his work. In one of the tapes of his PBS series with Bill Moyers, The Power of Myth, Campbell ridicules the belief in Christ’s resurrection calling it “a clown act, really.” Obama, in his interview with Falsani, denied resurrection from the dead in softer words, saying, “I don’t presume to know what happens after I die,” adding that “transferring values I got from my mother” to his daughters was “a little piece of heaven.” The “values” Obama got from his Campbellite mother include belief in chance human reptile descent, the denigration of Genesis and the rest of Scripture as fairy tales, and a coming one world Christ-less, God-less, and Israel-less age.
In The Inner Reaches of Outer Space, Campbell predicts a new mythology for that anticipated new age wherein a “unified earth” will become “as of one harmonious being” (p. xix). At long last, humanity will be rid of God, His Christ, and Israel for the old: “[N]ear Eastern desacralization of nature by way of a doctrine of the Fall will have been rejected; so that any such limiting sentiment as that expressed in II Kings 5:15, ‘there is no God in all the earth but in Israel,’ will be (to use a biblical term) an abomination” (p. xxi).
Campbell concludes his The Masks of God: Occidental Mythology with the assertion that God did not create man, but rather man created God; and he gives the very last words in his book to Friedrich “God is dead” Nietzsche. In his biography, Obama: From Promise to Power, David Mendell writes that Barack Obama didn’t simply read, “but devoured the writings of Nietzsche” (p.61), following Campbell’s example.
Joseph Campbell was, first and foremost, a mythologist, and mythologists are atheist academics who do not understand what the ancients are telling us in their art and literature. Mythology functions as a substitute for their lack of historical comprehension. Thus, these mythologists must develop their own subjective, ambiguous, and convoluted explanations for the abundant evidence in ancient art that points to the characters and events of Genesis, and thus to our Creator. As such, there is no cohesive foundation to their thinking. They are dogmatic, as opposed to being open-minded; sentimental, as opposed to being objective; and blind to truth, as opposed to being truly enlightened.
Out of his own imagination, Campbell created a romanticized mythological past, present, and future for humanity. Through his mother’s influence, Obama adopted Campbell’s mindset and gradually personalized it, creating a romanticized mythological past, present, and future for himself. As a Campbellite, Obama’s mythological present does not include the God of Israel. In the book, The Power of Myth, an outgrowth of the PBS series, Campbell writes: “One problem with Yahweh, as they used to say in the old Christian Gnostic texts is that he forgot he was a metaphor. He thought he was a fact” (p. 62).
Campbell, and Obama in his footsteps, deny God and embrace instead a mythological pseudo-science that insists worms and reptiles are their ancestors. Since an objective history of humanity based on the lawless pseudo-science of Darwinism is impossible, an utterly unreal, romanticized “history” of our race based solely on myth and metaphor must be conjured up to distract the gullible from the grim implications of their being mere mutant randomites with no expectation of immortality. Obama and the rest of today’s ruling Moronocracy need Campbell to sprinkle humanist fairy dust on this grotesque lie of chance human reptile descent.
Campbell admits and defines the utter unreality of his anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-Israel viewpoint in this passage from his The Hero with a Thousand Faces:
“It would not be too much to say that myth is the secret opening through which the inexhaustible energies of the cosmos pour into human cultural manifestation. Religions, philosophies, arts, the social forms of primitive and historic man, prime discoveries in science and technology, the very dreams that blister sleep, boil up from the basic, magic ring of myth” (p. 1).
The “magic ring of myth” sounds a lot better than chance descent from worms and reptiles doesn’t it?
The hallmark of a healthy humanity is a genuine connection to the truth of our historical identity. The Cainite, Marxist, Darwinist, Atheist, Nietzschean, Campbellite Obama has no such genuine connection. Obama lives in an unreal world of lies where the God of Israel, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, does not exist. Obama, the malignant narcissist, embraces the lie that he is the center of his own universe. Ann Dunham Soetoro, through her inculcation into her son of the “values” of Joseph Campbell, gave Obama all the fictitious rationalizations he needed to live that lie.
