Shameless Obama Issues Message To Arab Forum On 9-11

While Barack Obama pledged to not campaign on 9-11, he broke that pledge. No surprise there. However, he also used September 11 to issue greetings to the Arab Forum on Asset Recovery.

The video, posted on the White House YouTube channel today.

Obama made no mention of 9/11, the anti-American propaganda broadcast by Al Jazeera, which is based in Qatar or the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood. He did mention that Attorney General Eric Holder was the chief U.S. representative in attendance at the Arab Forum conference.

Obama offers thanks to the Emir of Qatar as he refers to him as “His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.” He then claims to be inspired by the Arab Spring which he claims “are determined to forge their own future.” However, Obama left the monarchy of Qatar untouched in his statements.

The goal of the Arab Forum is to recover assets stolen by regimes, including Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya, but not Qatar.

One does wonder why Obama didn’t call for Emir to step down after his blistering critique of him last year, in which he said, “He (Emir) is a big booster, a big promoter of democracy all throughout the Middle East…He himself is not reforming significantly. There is no big move towards democracy in Qatar.”

Can someone show me where the campaigns made a “joint pledge not to campaign on 9/11″.
The article that is provided as evidence of this says they don’t plan to air attack ads, or personally appear at political events. It says nothing about suspending their campaigns for the day.
In fact, this very article mentions the planned Clinton appearance: “On behalf of the Obama campaign, former President Bill Clinton is set to
attend an evening rally at Florida International University in Miami.”
This is not a surprise. This is not a broken promise. There never even WAS a promise. This is a completely made up story.
