Once again, Charles Krauthammer nails it. On Special Report, Charles Krauthammer reacted to the State Departments response to the protests in Cairo.
Krauthammer said that “it looks as though the administration thinks about what has just happened.”
He says that Romney was right to criticize Obama’s apology and after the media criticized Romney over his condemnation of that apology, Secretary Clinton came right back out and apologized again.
“Why is she [Hillary Clinton] engaging in a discourse on free speech with the mob?” he asks.
“The implication here is that perhaps the mob is right, that we ought to be suppressing anything that offends Islam.”
“This is a nation that puts a crucifix in a jar of urine and it ends up in a museum,” he continued. “We allow all kinds of expression. Why should we make an exception in the case of Islam? This is absurd.”
Krauthammer said, “We should say to other State Department equivalents, you speak with your mob, you talk to them about this, and you defend our embassies.”
“I find this is a return to the sentiment of the embassy statement two days ago, I think they are totally in meltdown at the State Department.”
