Palm Beach County Democrat Chairman Mark Alan Siegel is no fan of Christians and he demonstrates it in an interview with Patriot Update’s Scottie Hughes.
“I’m Jewish. I’m not a fan of any religion other than Judaism.”
Hughes asks, “But your not a fan of Christianity, who truly tries to protect the Jewish faith?”
“The Christians just want us to be there so that we can all be slaughtered and converted and bring on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ,” he said.
When asked where he gets that, Siegel wanted to continue what he was saying. “They’re not our friends. They want Israel to pursue policies that which are antithetical with its security and existence. The worst possible allies for the Jewish state are the fundamentalist Christians, who want Jews to die and convert so they can bring on the Second Coming of their Lord. It is a false friendship. They are seeking their own ends and not ours.”
Hughes then say that Siegel sounds like he is the opposite of anti-Semitic, asking him is he is “anti-Christianic.”
“No. I don’t believe the fundamentalists urging a greater Israel are friends of the Jewish state.”
Now friends, let me be clear here. As I’ve said before, I’m no Dispensationalist. However, when one listens to much of the modern day prophecy scenarios, this is what is taught. In fact, I wrote a script with Jerry Johnson of NiceneCouncil.com that was used in a video to dispel the myth that true Christians want any of the Jews to die, in spite of the fact that many in their teaching do teach what Spiegel just presented. In fact, much of the Left Behind series and such teach the very things Siegel just said. That doesn’t mean that Christians “want” Jews to die. It means that many, not all, believe that will happen. There are many who do not believe that at all.
Finally, Christians do want Jews to know Christ, but that does not come by force. It comes by the gospel.
