So What Brought You To Chick-Fil-A Today?

Today my family and I gave our support to Chick-Fil-A on this national Chick-Fil-A appreciation day. This isn’t a one time affair though. I was already going to take time out to also support something just as important, the Second Amendment. As I was traveling to pick up another Glock at a really good price, I was listening to the local radio station, WBT 1100 out of Charlotte, N.C., and the host, Keith Larson, whom I do like quite a bit, was asking people why they were attending Chick-Fil-A and the first guy up hit the nail on the head.

The caller gave three reasons:

1) They have exceptional food. In fact the host, who once was a top executive for McDonald’s, agreed and knew that among fast food chains Chick-Fil-A was tops.

2) They have incredible employees. I know this as one who tried to apply as a slacker in high school. They don’t want people just for a job, but they want career minded individuals with excellent people skills and know how to carry themselves.

3) He just wanted to show his support for the president of Chick-Fil-A and the company in general since they have voiced a particular view on the biblical definition of marriage.

I agree with all of these. As two of my boys and I went to turn in, there was a line that was close to a quarter mile long, people were lined up on both sides trying to get inside the restaurant and the drive through was packed.

When we finally got around to the drive through I stopped to notice something. I know what it’s like to be in a business like that when things get a little bit busy and I’ve often watched as those who are to serve get so obnoxious and frustrated that people would actually come into the establishment and begin to order! Not so at Chick-Fil-A. There were smiles on most everyone’s faces with no sign of frustration. I even noticed what I assumed was one of the manager’s children, a young boy around 7 or 8 it appeared that was loading up the ice in his black Chick-Fil-A shirts. This is the kind of service I’ve come to expect from Chick-Fil-A.

I have only received this kind of service at Panera Bread and while I don’t know their stance on the marriage issue, I have always appreciated the Christian work ethic and stand that Chick-Fil-A has had all along from being closed on Sundays to simply observe a day of rest for the week to even little signs at the counter where straws and napkins are available that read “Thou shalt not steal” implying to not take more than you need.

In carrying on in the tradition of his father, still the company chairman, President Dan Cathy draws from the Bible to support his claim of what marriage is. For those not familiar with the Biblical text, the Scriptures declare:

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Obviously many people in our country went to Chick-Fil-A to in essence give the “bird” (pun intended) to the left and to show loving support and appreciation to a company that will not back down from its convictions. It was truly heartwarming to behold.

I have also been made aware that the very small minority of the perverted population are planning a “kiss in” on Friday at Chick-Fil-A’s. Well I suppose they will be there to do nothing but cause trouble. If they are not purchasing anything and are just all over each other to rub their deviancy in people’s faces, I’m sure they will either be asked to leave or law enforcement will have to deal with them.

While it is not a normal thing for my own family to eat out, we did want to be a part of demonstrating that there are still people in America who believe in what the Bible says and affirm the idea of hard work, good service, an exceptional product and strong faith based convictions in the Word of God.

God did not put two men together, nor did He put two women together, but said the man would leave his father and mother and the two shall become one flesh. That’s a union. Two males or two females can never be one flesh in the biblical sense. Even nature teaches us that in how we are made.

Not only are we showing our support for these things, but we are showing our support for the free speech and religious convictions of people like Dan Cathy and his fine company. After all I’m sure the mayors of Boston and Chicago haven’t even though about all that tax revenue they are losing because in reality they are the ones that are the bigots. They are the intolerant ones.

In conclusion, if you went today to Chick-Fil-A, drop a comment and voice your opinion of why you went. I would love to see the comments section slammed to demonstrate to anyone that free speech and Biblical values are still important in America.

Chick-fil-a has good food and if the liberals don’t want to eat there oh well if the conservatives didn’t support liberals business they wouldn’t have any because they don’t support themselves ,and the Hispanic send their money to mexico so all the service in the neighborhood leaves, as well as the restaurants and popular fast foods most places are boarded up .

I hadn’t eaten at Chick-fil-A before but was there yesterday and today. Don Cathy is free to have whatever religious belief he wants and I support his right to express it.

It was incredible – we stood in line for nearly an hr and when we had nearly made it up to the front part of the line – the manager got up and announced they were “overwhelmed by the support and love of the community… unfortunately you have also overwhelmed our system and it just crashed.” Therefore, they couldn’t serve anymore people (and in essence he said, they ran out of food). This was at 7 PM. We had heard that Wendy’s had told their customers to patronize CFA in support of their stance on free speech and marriage. So we went there .
I have to say, EVERYBODY (employees and people waiting in line for hrs) ALL were very patient, kind, even FUN to hang out with. NOBODY got irritated or angry. What a blessing (do the gays even realize they brought this blessing upon CFA?) To God be the glory!

I can’t WAIT to patronize Chick Fil-A! I’m in New Jersey and I need to find one nearby!

What a tremendous display of patriotic resistance to tyranny and intolerance…and without a shot fired! Go America!

We drove 110 miles (each way) to eat at Chick-fil-A.
Then we waited two hours to get our food. The turn-out was outstanding. The company while in line was very enjoyable as we met many like-minded people. None one was complaining because we knew we were there to send a message. Wonderful fellowship.
God bless Mr. Cathy for his wonderful employees (and food).
By the time we left the line had grown to a city block but no one was complaining.

I’ve never seen such a wonderful group of people anywhere! NO hateful rhetoric! NO hate signs! NO violence! I’ve had many gay friends over the years, and I support gay rights. I supported Chick Fil A on August 1st, not because I’m a bigot, but to support Freedom of Speech. Liberals seem to think that the first amendment only applies to people who agree with their views. THEY’RE WRONG!

I went to support a great company whose food I have enjoyed in health and when sick (Chicken noodle soup is the greatest when you need a throat or conjestion soother). Their Chikin was all sold out, even the Chicken salad sandwiches, and the soup. So I bought lemonade, one of my favorites, too.
Some of my children worked for them in their teen years and even earned college scholarship money by their employment. We all still think they make the best chicken in the fast food line-up. ALSO—-
I went in support of free speech and morality and majority rights to peaceful communication about important issues. I went to uphold the Christian values so degraded today in political correctness. I went to show that I stand for American core values, the ones the Founding Fathers felt we all appreciated as traditional and decent for everyday life.
I was proud to be part of doing, being there at “ground zero” on Aug. 1. I will go again and again, and on Fri. Aug 3.

I went to Chick-Fil-A on August 1st for two reasons. First, to support Mr. Cathy in his views as they are also my views. And 2nd, to support the right of anyone in America to voice their opinions and views. When did it become unAmerican to respectfully voice your views in this country? I took a late lunch (1:15 PM) anticipating a large crowd. My employer is emphatic that we only get 1 hour for lunch. When I pulled up to the Chick-Fil-A on Austin Hwy in San Antonio, Tx, the line going through the drive through was wrapped around the building and down the small stretch of road leading back to Austin Hwy (about 20 cars). I parked and went inside and was greeted with a smile by Hilda, who took my order and then came around to offer me a free re-fill on my soda. Typical service every time I come to Chick-Fil-A but on a day as crowded as this one, you might have expected for the service to suffer. But it didn’t. I love this place!

But will you and your spouses all make certain you are registered to vote and that NOTHING interferes with you exercising that duty this November? I know so many people who do not vote who feel just as you do. I cannot understand it!!! Please help us get rid of the uber anti-American Obama administration. Also, don’t forget, it is not just the big elections that determine our fate. One of the biggest offices we need to pay attention to is each state’s Attorney General. After all, look at Eric Holder!

Two or three times a month I take my elderly mother in to Chick Fil-a and we order the same thing; kid’s meal with milk and trade in the toy for a small ice cream cone. Always the atmosphere is friendly and joyful. The employees are polite and helpful. So yesterday we weren’t going to miss the opportunity to stand with the company for free speech and family values. The line was out to door and almost to the road with cars backed up to go through the drive in. So, we now know why most of the churches were lacking their members that night!
