Obama Renews Call For ‘Teacher Bailout’

Here comes Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmmm, mmmm) demanding more money to support teachers. That’s right, as if we don’t throw enough money at the pitiful public education system in America, Obama wants even more. I have to ask where all this money is actually going that has been poured into the welfare education system.

A White House study concluded that 300,000 education jobs have been lost since 2009, a time they claim wa the official end of the recession. Of course those in the White House don’t live in the real world or they couldn’t make such a claim. The study also says that student-to-teacher ratios have increased by 4.6 percent from 2008 to 2010.

In Obama’s weekly radio and internet address on Saturday, he said, “If we want America to lead in the 21st century, nothing is more important than giving everyone the best education possible — from the day they start preschool to the day they start their career.”

He also addressed the House Republican budget claiming that it would cut further into education spending and help pay for tax cuts for the wealthy. “That’s backwards,” he said. “That’s wrong. That plan doesn’t invest in our future; it undercuts our future.”

If anyone actually believes that either Democrats or Republicans are making real cuts to the budget in the next decade, think again. I pointed out how the politicians promote this nonsense to those of us who live in the real world and have to budget and live within our means.

AP reports,

Obama is pressing Congress to act, part of an election-year strategy to portray Republicans as obstructionists. Republicans have proposed their own measures, but they have not advanced in the Democratic-controlled Senate. The partisanship has created a stalemate that Obama has tried to exploit during his re-election campaign.

While the private sector has continued to create jobs, though at a sluggish pace, the public sector has been posting monthly job losses, contributing to an 8.3 percent unemployment rate.

Obama’s plan includes $25 billion in aid to prevent layoffs of teacher and pay for other education jobs. That is part of a broader effort to retain state and local government jobs.

The White House report was not a product of the Education Department. It was prepared by the president’s Council of Economic Advisers, his Domestic Policy Council and his National Economic Council.

So basically Obama and company manufactured the report themselves and didn’t even consult their on Un-Education department. That figures. While the call from Obama isn’t just for teacher’s jobs, that was the primary reason for the address.

The question I have for freedom loving people is this: Why do we want to send our children to state run institutions to be indoctrinated by them? Bring them home and indoctrinate them with our values and our morals. Let’s teach them what it is to bring education and the God of the Bible back together. Ultimately the purpose of education is not to get a job. It is not to make six figures and it is not to just improve one’s self. Education is primarily so that one might pursue God and know Him and in all that he does, glorify Him.

Sadly we have lost our perspective. This use to be the perspective a long time ago in America. We were once number one in education, but not so anymore. It is because we have lost the purpose of education and in so doing the remedies of more money being thrown at the problem will only bring about many more problems as a result.

In our small town of 1,800 people the budget was tight, so the town asked employee’s groups to take a less costly healthcare insurance plan. All groups of employees accepted-BUT NOT THE GREEDY TEACHERS! They make $1,400 a week and have cushy jobs. I know I used to substitute.

Public education may be the only human endeavor where there is a perfect NEGATIVE 1.0 correlation between cost and benefit…

Why NOT reward them? After all, the National Education Association is merely doing for public education what the United Steel Workers did for the steel industry, and the United Autoworkers did for the auto industry…

The public school system is an absolute disgrace. It should have been scrapped long ago. The powers that be, both political and the teachers Union should be ashamed of themselves as regardsless of the constant chimes of”It’s for the children” little money actually gets to the children. The truth is that most of it is out and out stolen and they continually have their hand out for more. Exactly waht other industry could have their track record and still have a job?
It is amazing to me to speak with youngsters who have Masters degrees and have such a lack of knowledge. The scope of their knowledge is starkly missing on so many subjects that it simply has to effect the overall quality of every sector of America.
Fire them all – start over.

You have to read between the lines to get this fool’s real meaning! Pour money into the cofers of the Teacher’s Union. He doesn’t care if the kids get educated or not. All that concerns him, is that he will have their votes in November.

Look at our education system. It’s screwed up because of the unions.

Hitler practiced everything from illegal search & seizure, gun control, hampering freedom of religion, freedom of speech muffled, the indefinite containment of human beings (concentration camps), legalized murder, experimentation on human beings (in the name of science), and controlled what citizens were and were not allowed to read and write. The world saw Hitler for the monster that he was and the atrocities he had done to so many innocent people in the name of his agenda (the perfect society)

      SOUND FAMILIAR

Another good Obama economic plan, and a copy of what he has already done, borrow more money and distribute it to state governments, requiring them to hire more government employess, which they can’t afford, and when the borrowed money being distributed runs out again, they will have to lay off these government employees again, as they have already done once before, and for the same reasons, which still haven’t changed, but increases Obama’s deficits and the national debt greatly, with no permanent return for all the borrowed money, but much higher interest payments on all that borrowed money than previously was required. And what is even worse, the education that our children receive will be just as poor as it was when they employed all the teachers that were laid off, when they hire them back again.

  • Don DeLathouwer

This from the “affirmative action president” (AAP) who has had everything given to him due to _ _ _ _.

  • 7loubro_4

The man has no grasp on reality. Are his children forced to endure the horrors of those God forsaken (atheists rule the schools) dens of horrid shackles and bad lunches where students are subject to the foibles of second class teachers? No, nor do the privileged children of the sworn in elite elected officials. Who is in charge of the youth who run amuck in the streets creating flash mobs and wreaking havoc in sharpie destruction of empty homes? Why are not the mommy and daddy Democrats, Mayor Bloomburg, for example, and Mayor Emanuel, and others of that ilk taking action against those parents or whoever is supposed to tend to those mobs and give them some time in a giant cell with their children and lay down some real rules and leave the schools to the people who are paid to work with them. I would bet money that 70% of city/union supported teachers are afraid of their students.

  • onerightstand

“BAILOUT??????”" for teachers????? What is that about.

  • igotacomment

What Obama is doing is renewing his call for teachers and unions to vote for him … if he really cared, he’d be trying to increase private industry, including the petroleum industry, so there’d be more money available for education … as well as health care, etc. Instead, he out trying to buy votes.

  • Les Paul

He should give back the money the teachers and their unions stole from us!
