Through the end of this month will mark some of the most important days in recent American history for the Second Amendment. Representatives from openly socialist and communist states, along with those from other dictatorial regimes began meeting in New York on July 2 and will run through the 27. The reason for such a meeting? These leaders will be finishing up an international Arms Trade Treaty that has the potential to seriously override our Second Amendment rights to own, purchase and even carry a firearm.
Not only is globalist George Solos funding the fight to help the United Nations in controlling you and your guns, but even U. S. Congressmen are promoting this stuff.

George Soros is financing the fight to give the United Nations control of your guns.
Through his Media Matters organization, Soros is dumping pro-UN gun control propaganda into the mainstream media to coincide with the United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty being held in New York July 2–27.
In a blog post published on July 3, Timothy Johnson of Media Matters describes the notion that the United Nations would ever try to take away the right of Americans to keep and bear arms “laughable.”
Johnson goes on to promote the passage of the UN’s Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) as a means of “curtailing the illicit arms trade” and thus cracking down on those who use these weapons to deny others their “human rights.”
There is no doubt that Soros and other globalists would love nothing more than to go completely around the U.S. Constitution, using “binding treaties” and have their blue helmets from the UN come into our homes and disarm the population. Soros though is not the only one after this. Both Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton support the Treaty. In October 2009, the Obama administration reversed the previous Administration’s position and decided to support the negotiation of the Treaty.
The Senate must approve the treaty before it would be implemented. Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS), along with 44 other Senators, sent a letter to Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton encouraging them to stop trying to push the UN’s agenda with this treaty. That’s less than half of the elected representatives of the people who will not stand up to something that is literally seeking to undermine the U.S. Constitution that they swore an oath to uphold and defend when they became senators. Please see the letter to see who stood behind the letter and thank them for doing so and if your senator’s name is not on the letter you might want to hound them in whatever way you can in order to voice your disapproval of their spineless behavior.
In the letter Moran writes,
Our country’s sovereignty and the Second Amendment rights of American citizens must not be infringed upon by the United Nations. Today, the Senate sends a powerful message to the Obama Administration: an Arms Trade Treaty that does not protect ownership of civilian firearms will fail in the Senate. Our firearm freedoms are not negotiable.
As if it wasn’t bad enough that less than half the senators wouldn’t sign the letter to the President and the Secretary of State, several congressmen think the treaty is basically benign. In fact, they think it’s a wonderful idea for the United Nations to dictate to America how we deal with firearms.
Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), along with other congressmen, even circulated a letter last week to both Hillary Clinton and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice which said that they “strongly urge the United States to take a leadership role in pushing for a strong, verifiable Arms Trade Treaty.” Not only that, but they insist that the treaty include “controls on a comprehensive list of weaponry, including small arms and light weapons,” as well as controls on ammunition.
This is very serious business. Thankfully some senators have proposed a bill that would “prohibit funding to negotiate a United Nations Arms Trade Treaty that restricts the Second Amendment rights of United States citizens.” I applaud their efforts and encourage all freedom loving Americans to support them against the domestic enemies of the U. S. Constitution, including our own President and Secretary of State.
