GOP Caving to Dems on Tax Increases

Democrats are threatening to allow nearly $600 billion worth of tax hikes and spending cuts take effect in January unless the Republicans go along with allowing higher taxes for those making more than $250,000 a year. The threat has come to be known as “Taxmageddon,” and it seems the GOP is caving. After all, it’s an election year.

Just what will Taxmageddon do come January 1, 2013? It will begin,

raising rates on investment income, estates and gifts, and earnings at all levels. Overnight, the marriage penalty for joint filers will spring back to life, the value of the child credit will drop from $1,000 to $500, and the rate everyone pays on the first $8,700 of wages will jump from 10 percent to 15 percent.

The Social Security payroll tax will pop back up to 6.2 percent from 4.2 percent under the deal approved Friday by Congress. And new Medicare taxes enacted as part of President Obama’s health-care initiative will for the first time strike high-income households.

Some economists say it could push the fragile U.S. economy back into recession, particularly if automatic cuts to federal agencies, also set for January, are permitted to take effect.

This would basically be a huge blow to every American and the economy should the Democrats raise taxes on everyone, rather than get their way of only giving tax cuts to some and not to others. It is a shameful ploy to threaten the American people with taxes in this manner.

Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) said, in a speech she plans to give on Monday,

“If we can’t get a good deal, a balanced deal that calls on the wealthy to pay their fair share, then I will absolutely continue this debate into 2013.”

My goodness! These dimwitted people up there play with people’s lives like their own is at stake and they think they are doing a service to America. I’m not among the very rich. In fact, I am considered poverty level by the government, though I don’t consider myself poor by any sense. But to say something as asinine as calling “on the wealthy to pay their fair share” just shows why your party’s logo is an ass! The wealthy do pay their fair share. They pay far more than any of the rest of us.

The Washington Post reports,

If the tax cuts from the George W. Bush era expire and taxes go up for everyone, the debate will be reset, Murray is expected to say. “Every proposal will be a tax-cut proposal,” according to the excerpts, and Republicans would no longer be “boxed in” by their pledge not to raise taxes.

But they are boxed in because the taxes will increase on certain people. Not only that but taxes have been increasing over the past two years because of the Obamacare law. Furthermore Ms. Murray plans to say,

“If middle-class families start seeing more money coming out of their paychecks next year, are Republicans really going to stand up and fight for new tax cuts for the rich? Are they going to continue opposing the Democrats’ middle-class tax cut once the slate has been wiped clean? I think they know this would be an untenable political position.”

Again, they have been going up! More money has been taken out of the middle-class. Just remember the tax returns you filed this year.

Murray is expected to claim that “Democrats are willing to compromise. We just need a partner.” The problem is that they are not willing to compromise. They have put out something that is meant to be a political hot potatoe and have no intentions of compromising anything in their proposal.

While it may get the adrenaline going for the Democrats, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) called the position an “outrageous ultimatum.”

“At a moment when the American people are reeling from the slowest recovery in modern times . . . and just five months away from the economic body blow that will result if tax rates spike, as scheduled, on January 1st, the president’s solution is to take more money away from the very business folks we are counting on to create the jobs that we need,” McConnell said in a speech Thursday. “Naturally, Republicans oppose this. The way we see it, nobody should see an income tax hike right now.”

When it comes to compromise Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) said, We were on the record saying we would agree to a conventionally scored tax increase if they would clear out the tax code, make it fairer, flatter and simpler and begin to take us off the road to bankruptcy on entitlements. And they weren’t willing to do it.”

One thing is for sure in all of this and that is that we can see from the statements of Patty Murray just which party actually cares about some bit of fairness across the board when it comes to taxation. The Democrats are more than willing to throw each and every American under the tax bus in order to get their way.

The easiest way to put this is the Democrats are willing to raise taxes on everyone, while the Republicans are trying to advance fair tax cuts for everyone. It appears now that the Democrats are trying to hold America hostage. The question is, will they succeed?

What is fair about taxing someone who does not make enough money to rent a hovel which cost one month’s rent to build while derivative and high velocity trading loots the stock markets of trillions while Patty Murray spends her career trying to forget. That money is going somewhere so take note. Only two or three of Americans who are billionaires actually created something or provided a service. The rest of them got that rich gaming the stock market on the Skull and Bones piracy deregulation plan. Murray is a flake in traitor’s clothing.

Well then, what would I do? I would tax the stretchmarks off of those gaming and looting the stock market and permit the first $12,000.00 of wages and disability tax free except for nonorganic tobacco smokers and convicted hard drug abusers.

The democrats just committed political suicide. I hope all of you idiots in Wasington State are happy with your clown senator Patty Murray. You socialist liberals deserve each other. Why don’t you merge with California and you will have a huge state full of left wing nut cases.

I have said this before, and I will say this again: Democrats are masters at playing “gutter ball”. The GOP has been outmaneuvered at every turn. The GOP needs to stand their ground and let it be known that the Democrats are, like the commentary says, “Throw everyone under the bus, including the middle class they have vowed to champion. It is Ironic, however, that the Dems cannot outmaneuver our foreign adversaries the same way they do at home. Apparently, they are in bed with our foreign adversaries. What else am I to think?

Democrats Openly Threaten Taxpayers”The elite created the term “taxpayer” to force us all to think of ourselves as “taxpayers.” If we think of ourselves as taxpayers, we become willing taxpayers or income-tax payers. Most Americans believe that the U.S. government is financed by income taxes.
Income taxes have absolutely nothing to do with sending money to Washington as taxes. In fact, income taxes began only as recently as World War II for most Americans.
The Federal Income Tax has a dual purpose; neither is for income to run the government. The first purpose is to control consumption and redistribute welfare to the masses of low-income or no-income Americans. The second reason is the creation of a system of dossiers on every citizen: a spy system, no less.
I will quote from a speech by Beardsley Ruml, chairman of the New York Federal Reserve from 1941 to 1946, to dispel the widely believed myth that your income taxes are needed for government income. I repeat that your income taxes have nothing to do with providing income to the Federal government.
In a famous paper titled “Taxes for Revenue Obsolete,” which was read before the American Bar Association during the last year of World War II, Ruml said, “The necessity for a government to tax in order to maintain both its independence and its solvency is true for the states and local governments, but it is not true for a national government.”

This is why Washington State has to vote out their two Senators. They are not serving their voters with the standards that voters insist upon. Common sense bills to prohibit earmarks, un-authorized hidden earmarks to valid bills to vote upon, turned down the term limits bill (voters should finalize all of those on the NOV ballot). Accountability and ethical Senate procedures need to be reaffirmed, just as the voters ask for in voting a ‘real Patriotic President’ to follow the duties of the office, the US Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and all of The Amendments. Self proclaimed takeovers need to apply on Mars.

I will be glad when Obama is finally gone in 2012,he is the worst President in american history. I hope americans are also smart enough to vote democrats out in the Senate giving Republicans control of both houses, then and only then will we get things done the right way.

Americans (those of sense of fair play for ALL Americans, contrary to the insanity and lack of common sense being pushed onto taxpaying Americans by the left who look for just their personal power benefit and for the leftists and non-taxpayers): The left, the demoncrats, all those who pander to the liar-in-chief socialist, the mesmerized zombies who voted for the impostor-in-chief in 2008: all them have only SELF-interest, certainly NOT in the interest of our Country (remember what JFK said about “what you can do for your Country”?). We need to maintain the current income tax rates for all currently paying taxes AND institute a nominal tax for all the current NON-payers. NON-taxpayers: want a vote? Pay some taxes or NO vote ! You will see an annual tax of at least
$ 100. Count on it. AND, line up for voter ID or NO vote. Count on it ! OR, vote for your death and that of our Country by voting for the socialist demoncrat regime of obummer and his thug lackeys.

I misspoke when I implied that I, or any of my associates, in any government agency, knew something about certain events in Dallas in 1963. When will everyone wise up. Let the bastards raise our taxes. What if all of us that actually pay taxes refuse to pay them. What are they going to do about it , Put us all in prison.Ever heard of taxation without representation. Time to start getting serious folks.

    • FBI911

That is a really good idea! And to back it up, let them know that if they try to come around to collect your taxes, that you are heavily armed, and that you have already taken hostages to ensure that they cannot come in and take your guns away! Then stand in the window, and wave your guns around in a menacing manner, to show them that you’re not kidding!
