Barack Obama Only Has Excuses

excusesCrossroads GPS put out an ad on the internet titled “Excuses”, which is a specific response to the sagging jobs report that has just come out. The ad is scheduled to run beginning next week in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, New Hampsire, Nevada, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio and Virginia. The Super PAC announced that the ad would be a $25 million advocacy effort to get Barack Obama to do what he promised to do four years ago and that was to address the nation’s debt and also his obvious failed policies.

From the press release:

“We’re suffering through one of the weakest economic recoveries in our history, and the only thing President Obama is offering is slogans and excuses,” said Steven Law, President of Crossroads GPS. “People are hungering for practical solutions to our skyrocketing debt and flat-lined economy, and that’s what we are putting forward in our New Majority Agenda.”

The unemployment rate today remained unchanged at 8.2%. However, if the labor participation rate were the same as when President Obama took office, the unemployment rate would be a staggering 10.9%. Hundreds of thousands of workers have stopped looking for work during the recovery, making the unemployment rate appear artificially low.

“America’s jobless rate is still too high,” the ad begins. “Barack Obama‘s got lots of excuses for the bad economy.” The ad then splices together a bunch of soundbites to form the president’s “excuses”:

“Headwinds coming from Europe… We’ve had a string of bad luck… An earthquake in Japan… An Arab Spring… An ATM, you don’t go to a bank teller… Some things that we could not control… You go to the airport, and you’re using a kiosk… We’ve been a little bit lazy, I think, over the last couple of decades.”

“But Obama never blames Washington’s wild spending and skyrocketing debt,” the ad concludes.

I think that from now on we should refer to Barry as “Excuse Boy.”

It is so easy to blame Obama for America’s economic mess – but it’s not all true – hate him how you will for his policies. It is more Congresses fault for creating a climate that is bad for business or manufacturing. it is their tax laws and their idiot bills like ADA and Affirmative Action that penalize business and hold business hostage for social reasons that make no economic sense. and it’s American Citizens fault for failing to heed the call to “buy American”. we’ve pretty much unemployed ourselves – we go for the ‘sales’ that are not truly sales, buy it cheap, half off, buy one get one free – that’s American’s belief that they are getting a bargain – when they are simply paying the actual ‘retail’ price. that price tag hanging is a phoney. And then we’ve price ourselves out of the global market – the government by taxes and regulation, the unions by obsessive increases in pay and benefits, as well as, and Obama is correct, we’ve all fallen for the press one, press two, press three, instead of getting an American human being on the line to start with. Businesses are there to make money, from the largest corporations to the smallest mom and pop store. the Stock Market has also helped with the demise of jobs in America – you invest, buy stock – you expect a return – in the end, the only way to get a return is to find cheaper labor, less government regulation and taxes, people that really want to work, and cheaper energy costs. we lack ALL of those things in the United States – all we are interested in is “getting the best deal” – well when 20% of the available work force is not working – and you are forking out your tax dollars to support them – is that the “best deal”.?

What the spin doctor FAILED to say is the realistic unemployment figure across this country is likely 15 to 16% or more. No president in history has been reelected with numbers this dismal, especially for the length of time he has been in office.
Many people are also onto the mainstream media and their selective support for their interests. I believe we are all about to witness the biggest change to or government in the history of this country. Many new faces are going to be put into positions of representation of us all. I think the biggest layoffs just after the election will be in the government sector. The additional slashing of entitle programs will also ease some of our burden.

    • 44rd11

No president in history has been so able to BUY the unemployed vote.

When Albert Einstein died, he met three people at the Pearly Gates.
To pass the time he asked what their IQs were.

The first said 190. “Wonderful,” exclaimed Einstein.
“We can discuss the contribution made by Ernest
Rutherford to atomic physics and my theory of general relativity.”

The second answered 150. “Good,” said Einstein.
“I look forward to discussing the role of Gingrich’s
Contract with American legislation in moving us into the twenty-first century.”

    The third person mumbled 50.
    Einstein paused, and then asked,
“What was it like being President Mister Obama?”

Alright Raymond. As a combat vet, that brought a belly laugh to me this morning. Thanks, Semper Fi!
As Seabee’s we fought a lot alongside the Marines and had a Gunny as a liason officer. I went through a Marine Combat leadership school that dealt with tactics, logistics, chain of command and communications, weapons and their limitations etc. Quite the school of 13 months!

    Obama & The Little Girl.

A little girl asked Obama about whales.

Obama said it was physically impossible
for a whale to swallow a human because
even though it is a very large mammal,
    its throat is very small.

The little girl said, “But how can that be?
Jonah was swallowed by a whale.”

Irritated, Obama reiterated that a whale
could not swallow a human. “It is physically
    impossible!” he said.

Undaunted, the little girl said, “Well,
when I get to heaven I will ask Jonah.”

To this, Obama said, “What if Jonah went to hell?”

The little girl replied, “Then you ask him!”

    • Saltporkdoc

God! I hope that’s a true story, Raymond!
If it is, I’ll wager Chairman Obama was apoplectic afterwards!

    • Combat Seabee

It’s an edited version of a joke that I heard years ago, but quite applicable today in Raymonds version!

    • Saltporkdoc

Leave it to a Seabee to come up with the solution to my question!

Raymond, that’s the best yet. Keep up the good work; that cheers me up a little. Semper Fi.

This is a familiar illustration used by many speakers. Obama was inserted for effect. Funny, yes. True, no.

    What has America become?

Has America become the land of special interest and home of the
double standard? Let’s see: If we lie to the Congress, it’s a felony
and if Congress lies to us it’s just politics. If we dislike a black person,
we’re a racist and if a black dislikes whites, it’s their 1st Amendment
right. The government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and
they do almost nothing for the victims. In public schools you can teach
that homosexuality and lesbianism is ok, but you better not use the
word God in the process. You can murder a child in the mothers womb,
but it’s wrong to execute a mass murderer. We don’t burn books in
America, we now rewrite them. We got rid of the communist & socialist
threat by renaming them progressives. If you protest against Obama’s
policies you’re a terrorist, but if you burn an American flag or George
Bush in effigy, it’s your 1st Amendment right.

You can have pornography on TV or the internet, but you better not
put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas. In America,
criminals are now called sick people. The government takes money
from those who work hard & gives it to those who are lazy. Parenting
has been replaced with Ritalin & video games. The land of opportunity
is now the land of hand outs.

And how do we handle a major crisis today? The Government
appoints a committee to determine who’s at fault, then threatens
them, passes a law, raises our taxes, then tells us the problem is
solved so they can get back to their reelection campaign.
