Tell us again Mr. President about your courageous decision that only you could make to take down Osama bin Laden. I was seriously stating that with my tongue planted firmly in my cheek. Anyone remember the now infamous Hollywood produced tale of how everything was left in the hands of Barack Hussein Obama to take down the nasty boogeyman bin Laden? Remember how it was claimed that he was “spiking the football” on this issue? Well it appears he was really fumbling it.
Well, apparently it wasn’t just his decision after all. At least that is not how Richard Miniter tells it in his new book Leading From Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide For Him.
The Daily Caller reports,
At the urging of Valerie Jarrett, President Barack Obama canceled the operation to kill Osama bin Laden on three separate occasions before finally approving the May 2, 2011 Navy SEAL mission, according to an explosive new book scheduled for release August 21. The Daily Caller has seen a portion of the chapter in which the stunning revelation appears.
In ”Leading From Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide for Him,“ Richard Miniter writes that Obama canceled the “kill” mission in January 2011, again in February, and a third time in March. Obama’s close adviser Valerie Jarrett persuaded him to hold off each time, according to the book.
Miniter, a two-time New York Times best-selling author, cites an unnamed source with Joint Special Operations Command who had direct knowledge of the operation and its planning.
So it’s just as we expected, Obama couldn’t even make a decision without a woman telling him what he should do. It figures though.
But then let me ask in all honestly, how do we even know they took out bin Laden? Seriously. We know from leaked emails earlier this year that the official story of bin Laden’s burial at sea was made up. They claim the body was being flown back to Dover, DE to be cremated.
Not only that, but Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Steve R. Pieczenik, the man Tom Clancy based his famous Jack Ryan character on, claimss to have seen Bin Laden in 2001 at the American Hospital in Dubai and as a medical doctor stated,
“He died of marfan syndrome, Bush junior knew about it, the intelligence community knew about it,”
Marfan syndrome is a degenerative genetic disease for which there is no permanent cure. The illness severely shortens the life span of the sufferer.
Pieczenik also worked with Bin Laden, who was a CIA operative, in the 1980′s during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan.
While I’m sure Mr. Miniter doesn’t deal with Mr Pieczenik in his work or the leaked emails, he does say, “President Obama’s greatest success was actually his greatest failure.”
