Well we see that Barack Obama and his Justice Department just cannot do their job. In an election year they have chosen to pander to illegal immigrants rather then enforce the law. It can be no clearer than the president’s words from the Rose Garden as he said his policy would change.
Note that: The president is going to change his policy in spite of what the law demands.
After this week’s ruling from the Supreme Court on the Arizona SB1070 immigration law, Governor Jan Brewer said that “the heart” of the law had stayed intact. Of course both sides claimed victory in the ruling, but the feds have decided that they are not only going to ignore dealing with illegals in Arizona, unless they have been convicted of a violent felony, but they are going to encourage illegals to call them to report “potential” civil rights violations.
The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice that refused to prosecute the New Black Panthers Party members for intimidating voters in 2008 is the same division that is setting this nonsense up. They have provided a number an email address to report such:

All of this comes Monday as the Washington Times reports,
The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.
Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police — but that won’t change President Obama’s decision to limit whom the government actually tries to detain and deport.
“We will not be issuing detainers on individuals unless they clearly meet our defined priorities,” one official said in a telephone briefing.
The official said that despite the increased number of calls, which presumably means more illegal immigrants being reported, the Homeland Security Department is unlikely to detain a significantly higher number of people and won’t be boosting personnel to handle the new calls.
“We do not plan on putting additional staff on the ground in Arizona,” the official said.”
That will not stop Sheriff Joe Arpaio from doing his job. As he told Neal Cavuto on Fox News, “I’m not stopping anything. I’m going to continue to enforce those state laws regardless of what the federal government is trying to put pressure on me to satisfy all these activists, which by the way are in front of my building right now.”
“Three and half years they’ve been in front of my building,” he said. “So, I’m not going to bend to the federal government, especially when we still have state laws to enforce.”
While the boys in their slick suits and computers at the Justice Department take phone calls from their air conditioned offices, Sheriff Joe and his law enforcement agents are out getting the bad guys and dealing with them according to the law.
So it appears Sheriff Arpaio will not be intimidated by the federal government and will continue to serve the people of his county faithfully. He’s a real ‘true grit’ kind of guy in my book.
