Barack Obama Attacked “Hiding Behind Executive Privilege”


king obamaAmericans must be reminded, in regards to Barack Obama’s use of executive privilege in the case of Fast and Furious operation documents being requested by the House Oversight Committee, that back in 2007 then Senator Obama was demanding that the Bush administration should not “hide behind executive privilege.”

The interview focused on the midterm dismissal of seven United States Attorneys by the Bush administration’s Department of Justice. Barack Obama went after the use of executive privilege claiming that governments that are trying to “hide behind executive privilege every time there’s something a little shaky that’s taking place.”

Yet, this is exactly what Barack Obama has done in the case of the documents that have been subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee from his own DOJ and Attorney General Eric Holder. Instead of being open and transparent about the information, Obama has sought to cover up what potentially may lead to evidence of his own involvement in the operation.

Eric Holder has just been the front man in the whole episode, but it wasn’t until this week, just before the House Committee voted to hold Holder in contempt of Congress that Obama decided to play his hand at executive privilege. Even the media didn’t know what to do with such an abuse of power.

One things is for sure, we can always count on Barack Obama to be hypocritical when it comes to governing. After all, he is the guy that said, “The only people that don’t want to disclose the truth, are people with something to hide.”

    My real concern is that Obama may not be intending to leave the White House even if the election votes him out. I was surprised his father overthrew Kenya–how I do not know.

    I think you are all being a little hard on him. What if the reason he doesn’t want them to have these papers is that it has names of people who are under cover right now. Maybe he is protecting American lives. Now mind you I am for Mitt Romey for President, but that doesn’t mean I want to crucify the one we still have.

      Ok so give him the benefit of doubt on this, but answer this question; Why would Obama suddenly pay close attention in Holder’s case, but not even raise an eyebrow for the White House leaks on Iran’s computer virus, or the wikileak’s security problem? Why hasn’t the WH checked into the Muslim Brotherhood advisors in several(if not all) US Government Departments or even got excited about such goings on? The 100th game of golf get in the way? or Exec Order on immigration?? or Border Security? And also how about his treatment of the Israel and Putin slip of the tongue and/or the silent/sneeky funding of Nigeria in the millions of dollars as Executive Funding/ the other clincher of backdoor guns to Syria/ his Sec. of State Hilliary committing the US to a UN Small Arms Treaty?? Just another QUIET day on White House Lawn as long as noone finds out about it?

    Personally I think Obama has Congress and Republicans in particular running around being defensive in putting out his fires in the smoke and mirrors game. Congress should take away his travel, golfing, Airforce One privileged use for vote gathering, and all monies spent on White House entertaining of the Muslim Brotherhood. What’s that old saying about the best defense is a good offense? Heel Doggy !! I bet he’d give congress Holder on a platter if they took away his Nigerian play money.
