Taking a break from politics, economics and military conflicts for a moment; here’s a discovery that recently surfaced – a map depicting Antarctica. Nothing special, except that the map was believed to have been created in the early 16th century, some 200 years before Captain James officially discovered the continent.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at some of the questions the maps discovery has raised. While clearly recognizable as Antarctica, the continent was shown in a more northeastern location and was missing some key features such as the Drake Passage and the large islands in the Wendell Sea. Could it be a simple error from outdated and inaccurate techniques? Perhaps, but why did the notes on the map indicate it was a ‘warm climate’? The implications go deeper than you might think.

Conservative Tribune reports:

Antarctica was officially discovered in 1773 by Capt. James Cook, the first person known to cross the Antarctic circle and circumnavigate that continent.

However, a document found in 1929 that was believed to have been created in the early 16th century — more than 200 years prior to Cook’s discovery — appeared to depict Antarctica, according to the U.K. Express.

The document, named the “Piri Reis Map” after the Ottoman admiral and cartographer Piri Reis, who created it, was dated 919 in the Muslim calendar, which corresponded to 1513 in the Western calendar, researchers at the University of Wisconsin reported.

Reis wrote in an inscription on the map that he used 20 source materials from various cartographers in creating the map, including contemporary Portuguese maps and some that may have been passed down from the time of Alexander the Great or earlier, according to the Epoch Times.

While the appearance of Antarctica on this early map was remarkable, scientists have had a hard time reconciling some obvious discrepancies between the appearance of the continent on the Piri Reis map and what the continent actually looks like today.

For example, the 16th century map showed Antarctica much more northeastern than it is today. It also lacked the snow and ice coverage that we know defines the frozen continent, and notes in the margin of the document indicated that it was a “warm climate.”

Furthermore, the 600-mile-wide Drake Passage was not shown on the map, nor were the large islands in the Weddell Sea.

In fact, the land mass considered Antarctica on the map actually shared a coastline with South America — which is misshapen.

While Brazil was clearly discernible, as the coastline is traced farther south it juts out east, seemingly depicting a land mass — Antarctica — in a place where no such land mass exists today.

Thus scientists have been considering unanswered and problematic questions.

Did Antarctica go through a sudden geographical and climate shift in the roughly 200 years from the time of Reis’ drawing to the discovery by Capt. Cook?

That explanation has its problems, though, as studies have concluded that the last time Antarctica was ice-free was around 4,000 B.C., according to the Express.

Charles Hapgood, a Keene (New Hampshire) State College history professor who has authored several books on the subject of ancient maps, believed the information on the Piri Reis map had been “passed down from people to people.”

“It appears that the charts must have originated with a people unknown and they were passed on, perhaps by the Minoans and the Phoenicians, who were, for a thousand years and more, the greatest sailors of the ancient world,” Hapgood explained.

Capt. Lorenzo W. Burroughs, a U.S. Air Force officer in the cartographic section, wrote a letter to Hapgood in 1961 saying that the “Antarctica” depicted on the Piri Reis map seemed to accurately show Antarctica’s coast as it is under the ice.

Do you think this strange land mass on the Piri Reis map was meant to be Antarctica? If so, how did the cartographer know about it two centuries before it was officially discovered?

So, the million dollar question here is how the map shows features of the earth that "nobody in 1513 should have been able to know" even existed? Prior to the 18th Century, sailors ran the risk of crashing their ships into rocky coastlines because they lacked the ability to calculate longitude. A clock for measuring longitude was not invented until 250 years AFTER the drawing of the map, yet the map still manages to somehow chart the southern tips of Africa and South America to within a 1/2 a degree of accuracy. Ready for the real kicker?

GET READY…

The author of the map claimed that the map was a compilation of other source maps that were available at the time, some of which dated back to the time of Christ, or even before! So, how was someone able to measure and map the continent with a degree of accuracy and precision that rivals what the best technology is able to produce today, particularly when none of the technology we have today was anywhere near invented back then?

Furthermore, continuing to shred the theories and teachings of modern “science” and academia, is the fact that the map accurately shows Antarctica exactly as it is… underneath the ice. You know why modern “science” stays quiet on issues like this, and many other mysteries of the ancient world including actual answers for how many of the megalithic structures around the world were built (and I don’t mean ropes and pulley’s), or by whom?

Because “science” and academia’s version of history may be “politically correct,” and it might read well in a school text book, but people who wrote the story and keep telling it are full of sh**, and they know it. Here’s why: The last time the arctic icecap wasn’t present on Antarctica was several million years ago… and man didn’t exist several million years ago, but yet somehow we have an exact map of what the continent looks like under the ice (with precision accuracy), and it’s from the 1500’s?

Since “science” tells us that mankind wasn’t around millions of years ago, then I suppose someone must have gotten their hands on a plane then with some real high quality ground penetrating radar back in the 1500’s then. Right? It's either that, or so much of the nonsense “science” tries to sell us as truth these days, is really utter nonsense. Either science knows nothing, or they’re hiding something.

The following video further explores this fascinating topic, and I’m sure you’ll be mesmerized…
